Gallagher is set to meet Cal Ellenor in the main event of Bellator Dublin in a re-booking of the fight which was originally scheduled to take place in September at Bellator Europe 4.

Ahead of their face-off on February 22, Gallagher claims that he is the one who went ahead and made the rescheduling happen this time, according to a report by MMA Junkie.

Gallagher (on Ellenor): He’s a great fighter… but I’ve got nothing

Ellenor had to pull out from their previous fight owing to what his doctor had to say about his brain scan results, which could have forced him to hang up his fighting gloves for good. But it turned out to be a misdiagnosis and Ellenor was soon cleared to appear in the Octagon for a fight.

According to Gallagher, he wasted no time and contacted the promotion to make the fight happen, just like he said he would.

Gallagher clearly has enough respect for his latest English opponent to take initiative and make the fight happen. However, when it comes to actual fighting, he is not going to pull any punches or show any sympathy for the one who stands between him and the success he has dreamed of.

Gallagher has indeed scoured seven victories in Bellator only in the perusal of the greatness he talks about, with only one loss under the promotion in his four-year run. His current winning streak is of three consecutive victories, including the 35-seconds submission win over Ellenor’s replacement Roman Salazar at Bellator 227.
