At the time of writing, over 395,000 people have viewed the TikTok video that left user @chloee.hockleyy with a red face.

In the viral video, the shaken up girl can be seen screaming ahead of losing consciousness on a sling coast in Gold Coast, Queensland.

The video has been liked by 55,000 people and received more than 500 comments.

Chloe, the girl, repeatedly says ’no’ before being launched into the air whilst her boyfriend Jack is smiling and good to go.

The couple can be heard swearing as they go up into the air and Chloe looks somewhat shocked by how high they are, then becomes limp.

After a few seconds, she wakes up and begins hyperventilating whilst her boyfriend takes in Surfer’s Paradise views.

According to a website for family edutainment, Kidadl, the brain can be filled with adrenaline during an event such as this, known as vasovagal syncope. Some people may faint whilst on a roller coaster as their heart rate slows down causing their blood pressure to drop.

A dip in your blood pressure and heart rate is caused by vasovagal syncope. As an outcome, the brain’s blood flow is limited, and you faint for a short while.

Reflex syncope or neurocardiogenic are two terms used to describe vasovagal syncope. Vasovagal syncope can affect anyone; women and men are equally affected by this sort of fainting.

Blood flow to your brain can be reduced when your blood pressure drops and your heart rate slows, and passing out is a result of this, states Kidadl.

Fortunately, for adrenaline junkies, there is a meager chance of dying on a roller coaster.

According to the BBC, around 1.7 billion rides are taken by nearly 300 million people each year in the U.S. and from 1994 to 2004, the country reported an average of just four deaths per year.

Comparatively, an average of 39 people die each year in the U.S. from being struck by lightning.

In the comments, other TikTokers can’t help but laugh.

One user said: “Ahahahahaha this is the best thing I’ve ever seen and Jack laughing at you makes it so much better.”

It seems Chloe isn’t the only one who is scared of high rides, one user said: “I would have been the exact same girl. I was too much of a chicken to go on so good on you xx”

Another agreed: “oh my god! Miss girl, my soul would have left my BODY FOR REAL.”
